Nationwide wholesaling chain JAKON implements Bastion ERP

Jakon, the Polish paper wholesaling chain, signed a cooperation agreement with LSI Software S.A. The contract covers  the purchase of licenses and the implementation of the Distribution and CRM modules of the Bastion ERP system.The company had previously implemented the Bastion ERP Financials module (financial and executive accounting) and the Personnel module– the human resources and payroll system.

Jakon has operated on the market since 1992 and deals in paper, printing and office supplies sales and bookbinding services. The company has its head office in Piaseczno and 17 branches around Poland. At the moment the group employs more than 200 employees.

The purpose of the project is:

• to replace the existing sales and warehouse management software with the new version of Bastion ERP Distribution software,
• to replace the existing customer relations management software with the new version of Bastion CRM software,
• to implement the software in the mode of one database shared with other Bastion ERP system modules (Financials and Personnel), allowing direct access to the entered data by all system users at  the moment the data is  entered. .

Bastion ERP Distribution enables the management of the entire turnover of goods in the sales chain. It is responsible for the definition of goods and services sold through the network. It performs warehouse moves between the chain warehouses. It also allows the conditions for cooperation between  the suppliers and receivers to be determined. Moreover, it generates and receives electronic purchase, sale and warehouse moves documents.

After the completion, the Jakon implementation will be the largest Bastion ERP deployment operating in the terminal mode based on Microsoft Windows Server. It will also be  one of the major Polish installations  operating in this mode. The contract value is approx 240 thousand PLN.
